You've read through my skills and decided, yes they're all very nice and you'd like them. We've spoken on the phone or met in person and you feel I would suit the organisation. What seals the deal?

• I have very good experience from a range of industries and of international engagements, meaning I can bring cross-industry examples to your organisation. Why is this good for you? Because different industries, and different countries, complete similar tasks but in different ways - the methodology you're using may be improved by learning from another organisation. When I work, I always consider these different approaches and how they can be best exploited to your benefit
• I have a very open and direct approach. This means I'm not a fan of prevaricating or wasting efforts and will endeavour to acheieve my, and your, aims as efficiently as possible.
• I have worked for large and small businesses in public and private sectors, and created small businesses of my own. This benefits you by providing an all-round perspective of what works for a large enterprise and what works for small enterprise and how they think and aspire to. They aren't the same!
• I am quite prepared to work either full time or on a part time (on day rate basis) to suit your needs. I know that some organisations don't require a full time contractor.
• I do not have the pretence of a large corporation or consultancy. I do, however, have a very select and powerful range of colleagues that I trust and have worked with to bounce ideas and talk problems through with and at no extra cost to you! This has proved to be invaluable in the past.
• I am a big proponent of simple and elegant solutions and work tirelessly to ensure things are not more complicated than they need to be.
• There is a lower cost of hiring me, when not using an agent, which allows you greater freedom with your budget
